Why Volunteer for Aylesbury Vale Rape Crisis?

  • The satisfaction of assisting women to move on and live a fulfilling life.
  • To be active in your local community. We prefer to recruit volunteers who live in Aylesbury Vale.
  • Opportunities to acquire and develop skills and knowledge.
  • To take advantage of personal development opportunities.
  • This is a service that is needed by local women that depends on local support.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of activities. We need women who are reliable and have an interest in women’s issues. If you are interested in volunteering with us please contact us. Alternatively you can download this Application Volunteer Counsellor and send it to us.

Support Volunteers

Are you beginning a counselling course? If so would you be interested in volunteering for our support service? This includes helpline, email support, reception, administration and befriending. This is an interesting role for a student counsellor at the early stage of the counselling course. This role provides good experience before starting to counsel. This is suitable for first year counselling students and those at the beginning of the second year.

Counselling Volunteers

Students on diploma counselling courses are welcome to apply. Preference is given to volunteers who study and live locally. Qualified counsellors are also welcome to apply.

Volunteer Training

Support and counselling volunteers will be given training in the issues that we deal with. Support volunteers will also be given helpline and email support training. All training is in house.

Fundraising Volunteers

This volunteer opportunity involves organising and participating in local fundraising events. There will not be any specific training for this role. There will be an induction.
